A Quaker presence for peace and
reconciliation in Northern Ireland
The Quaker House Belfast project makes a contribution to peace and reconciliation
in Northern Ireland. Our work is underpinned by the values of the
Religious Society of Friends, including a commitment to peacemaking and
equality. For more about the origins and work of the Quaker House Belfast project
check the tabs above.
Getting involved...
Keep in touch with events in the media. Anne Bennett, our
representative, is happy to make suggestions for background reading and
other resources. Ask to be put on the mailing list for Anne’s Journal
Letters, circulated every three or four months. For more information
about Northern Ireland click on the Resources tab.
How can I help?
Arrange opportunities for local Friends or ecumenical groups to hear
from people involved
with the project. Encourage your local MP or TD to give high priority
to peace and related issues in
Northern Ireland.
We rely on donations. We as Quakers in Ireland and Britain are
responsible for funding this project. Think about making a donation;
encourage your meeting to have a collection. Please make your cheque
payable to Quaker House Belfast.
